Now that P.O.’s been hospitalized, Korea is saying that it’s all a media gimmick/ploy to get sympathy on their side. Some idiots are even claiming that the suicide petitions were falsely photoshopped by fans and BNS to come up with another excuse, but BNS tweeted out a link…
I have no idea if it’s confirmed, but kBBC are supposed to be holding shifts in front of BB’s dorm (even skipping school and what not) to keep watch over them and protect their dorm from antis if necessary. ;________________;
desperate times call for desperate measures. As much as I don’t approve of skipping school, the gesture is quite moving ;__;
LOL NO, I WISH. I was just lucky with my birthday tweet. It was after Brian tweeted congratulating Siwon for something and I tweeted Brian (not expecting any reply tbh) asking if you could congratulate me for turning 20 as well HAHAHA. Yeah, I was just really lucky. I seem to be very lucky when it comes to Brian haha.
I think all of the things mentioned in this have been considered hugely offensive, not just Block B’s jokes. And I’m pretty sure it’s not just me that thinks so either.
No, of course everything mentioned here is highly offensive. But if you look at it from levels of severity, Block B’s shitty stupid mess up would rank lower. While, for example, if you were to look at Jenny Hyun, hardly anyone knows about what she said and she isn’t being punished properly. Most people don’t even know. While what she’s saying is slipping off unnoticed, Block B’s act which was ten thousand times less horrifying that her act, is being completely forgotten. This is being blow out of proportion to the point here a chinese newspaper feels the need to report this. What of Jenny Hyun? Will the world know of her disgusting comments, or is everyone going to die over Block B and 2PM?
Yeah, I’ll agree that it’s honestly a little weird that a Hong Kong newspaper would pick up this story, since there could be a lot more controversial things they could be covering. But I’m not surprised because media picks up stuff that’s gonna make things sell. And there’s 2 things people like reading about, underdogs being claimed as glorious, or being trodded on. It’s harsh, I know, but the media are kinda rubbish like that. And also, 2PM are infinitely more likely to sell papers than Jenny Hyun. (it’s sad, but it does come down to the issue of how much profit could be made)
As for Jenny Hyun’s comments. She did get a lot of shit, but I think it’s because the fact that there was an article talking about how she was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia that made the controversy died down a little. I was more offended by Jenny Hyun’s seriously backward thinking and seriously insulting tweets more than Block B’s fiasco, but there’s also the thing that Block B have never really been favourites from the beginning (idk why honestly, I figured they’d have a clean slate when debuting but there seemed to be a lot more obstacles they had to get over). I personally like Block B’s music and did follow their activities for a while, but because they (not as a group, of course but I won’t go onto a member basis) have offended some people on numerous other occasions, so I think some people lose patience with them (and depending who these people are, certain opinions, whether just or not, will proliferate far more faster than it should). That’s my interpretation of the international fandom at least. I can’t speak for any specific countries’ fandom.
[12.02.21] Facebook conversation between 1TYM’s Song Baek Kyung & Eric
Song Baek Kyung:Although we’re not meeting for any special reason but the 4 of us are meeting after 4 years so we made plans for dinner. What to eat what to eat? The King Tonkatsu at the driver’s restaurant?
Eric Mun:1TYM daebak. Let’s come back together!
Song Baek Kyung:Let’s come back as ShinhwaTYM then.
Eric Mun:No. We’re coming back in March. We’ll be rivals~
Song Baek Kyung:Ya anyway I’m short so I can’t be seen clearly when I stand on stage, just let me join your team for once. It’s my wish to sing ‘Perfect Man’ with you guys. I want Dongwannie’s part the most. Anyway let me join in. It won’t be obvious if I stand behind you. Let me hold the stage mic and not the noraebang (karaoke) mic for once. If I add a few insoles in my shoes now, maybe even Minwoo’s relatives can’t tell the difference.
